Each NFL team gets to bring 30 players in to its facility for pre-draft visits. Each NFL team gets to pick, on average, seven players.
So while it’s easy to overstate the importance of each of the individual visits, some of them are at least worth filing away for future consideration.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Falcons are bringing in Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee for a visit.
From a categorical rotisserie head-to-head standpoint, Ohtani is now absolutely worthy of the No. 73 overall ADP (75.5) that represented his preseason high point on March 7, which is roughly where he’ll move this week in my rankings. He’s a top 20-capable fantasy starting pitcher you should slot in for all of his mound assignments, and assuming you don’t have a clearly superior utility option on the dates that he’s slotted at DH, he’s worth activating at DH, especially against right-handers.
Oh, but if he’s pitching in a National League park and therefore slotted into both roles and forcing you to choose, take the pitching stats … they’re still his ticket to stardom.
The Dolphins had just upset the Patriots on a Monday night in Miami, a win that seemed to potentially get a rocky season on track. The loss at Buffalo sparked a three-game slide that sealed the team’s fate for 2017.
Gase’s comments represent a more specific twist on a concept he seemed to agree with during a conversation at the league meetings in Orlando. The adversity that the Dolphins faced throughout the 2017 season made it easier for Gase to determine who is and isn’t fully on board. Moving forward, Gase surely wants more of the guys who will be all in no matter what, and fewer of the guys who won’t be.
Warner quarterbacked in the Arena and NFL Europe leagues, honing the skills that forged what became a Hall of Fame career. Vinatieri’s induction as just the third HOF kicker is a given once he’s done playing. He, too, is an NFL Europe grad, along with others who parlayed the experience into NFL success, such as Brad Johnson, Jake Delhomme, Jon Kitna, David Akers and Dante Hall.
