No one knows anything for sure about who was taken first in the inaugural NBA All-Star draft, but based on Russell Westbrook’s reaction, one person thinks the reigning MVP is “crazy.”
Westbrook thought he had been selected in the last spot on Thursday when he saw the list released on Uninterrupted’s Twitter account. He then went out and scored a season-high 46 points in the Thunder’s win over the Wizards.
The Stars, currently in the first wild card spot, lost for the second time in as many nights after falling in overtime Monday night.
“We’ve just going to have to move forward,” Klingberg said. “We can’t be frustrated. We’re still right in the mix there. We’ve still got the wild card spot. We’re just going to have to move on and find a way to score more goals.”
Kari Lehtonen made 32 saves for Dallas.
Mike Fisher was in the starting lineup for his first game back in Nashville since being signed on Feb. 26. He received an ovation 10 seconds into the game during a stoppage in play while a catfish was removed from the ice. Fisher went to the box for hooking less than 2 minutes into the game.
Chalk this one up to another weird injury report.
The Celtics announced Friday, Marcus Smart will be out two weeks due to lacerations he sustained on his hand from a non-basketball injury.
This in and of itself is not weird, but when Smart apologized to fans for hurting himself, that is when things got bizarre.
